Mökbar is an NYC Korean ramen restaurant emphasizing the use of fresh ingredients and traditional methods. Already appealing to a younger customer base via its menu, Mökbar was the perfect candidate for a food truck.
Beginning with the truck itself, I chose a concept that is vibrant and eye-catching; something that would make you stop if you saw the truck on the street. I selected a vivid orange to cover the majority of the vehicle, and the bottom is a noodle motif to give passers-by an idea of what is available. This noodle pattern is used in multiple other ways across the brand.
The logo was also designed with noodles in mind. The font used, Alphapipe BC, is very curvy and fluid, almost mimicking the ramen noodles themselves. To play up this fact, I replaced the “ö” with a simplified bowl of ramen. This symbol can also double as a logomark when combined with the “m” from the wordmark (pictured below).
After getting the design of the logo and truck settled, I moved on to printable items like menus and disposable packaging. Each piece fits together with the brand, forming a cohesive starting package.
