Well-known graphic designer Micheal Bierut is also the author of several books on the subject of his profession. For this project, I have taken one of these books and refreshed the design and layout.
For the cover, I used simple shapes to echo the title; five bars at the bottom left and seventy-nine boxes on the right side. These basic shapes and the muted color palette give the book a modern feel.
The Interior follows this modern, minimalist trend, using large numbers surrounded by negative space to begin each chapter.
